What is Furniture (Quality Control) Order, 2025?
The Furniture (Quality Control) Order, 2025 was issued by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry on 13 February 2025 under the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016.

Exemptions Under the Furniture QCO
Export Products
The Order does not apply to furniture manufactured in India exclusively for export.
Certain Micro Enterprises
The Order provides exemption to enterprises registered under the Udyam Portal where:
✔ Investment in plant and machinery/equipment does not exceed ₹25 lakh
✔ Annual turnover does not exceed ₹2 crore
✔ Turnover is certified by a Chartered Accountant
Such enterprises are exempted from implementation of the Order.
